Life offers many
challenges and there only two categories of people, one is leaders and the
other are followers.
Leaders do it under any condition,
Followers wait for others to do it;
Leaders initiate and keep on going,
Followers wait and keep on asking what's next;
Leaders work for team purpose,
Followers work for them;

This was received with surprise by
our Zone team. It is natural to be
surprised that chapter inaugurated in Aug 2012 with 30 members is bidding for a
one day Zone level event!. May be the
seriousness with which we conducted the activities, participation in various
zone and national events so far and also the legacy of the parent chapter (JCI
Bangalore Garden City) would have impressed our Zone officers and finally
somewhere in May we got the
confirmation the we have been selected to host MIDCON.
Lots of planning went in. First and foremost is the venue. It should be easily accessible, prominent, spacious
to seat large crowd and sufficient parking space was our requirements. Some of the suitable marriage halls were
beyond the budget. We approached few
school and colleges; somehow it did not work out. Finally we were greatful to get the GKVK for this occasion
The next most important task is the
registrations preparations. We could
meet some of the Presidents and Chapter members during AOS/ABS. Our Zone officers encouraged other chapter’s
delegates to avail the early bird registration.
The very first encouragement came from JCI Bangalore Garden city who
confirmed 100 registrations on the spot.
They were also very prompt in sending us the registration fees.
This was followed by lots of MIDCON promotions
by chapter CGB and Zone officers. During Speech Craft, we were given privilege
to promote it. During APCC, the very
first banner with the confirmation of venue was released. Our President and Vice Presidents interacted
on phone to all chapter Presidents about registrations and chapter banner
sponsorships. It was promoted during
Karnataka cultural festival also. Our
Zone officers personally visited various chapters and encouraged them to
participate in MIDCON.
In parallel, we were getting busy
with various preparations like stage arrangements, banners, invitations and
identifying Guest of Honor, identifying and procuring Gift KITS to be given to
the participants. With involvement of
various chapter members, committee members these things went well.
The most challenging part was
estimating the number of participants to plan for catering. Since most of the participants will be
travelling from far, we have to ensure Breakfast is made ready in time. Also the number of people having lunch will
be high compared to breakfast. It was
really tough challenge to manage and more or less it was taken care.
The day of MIDCON saw most of the
host chapter members arriving early, getting the stage, registration counters and
food counters ready.

cultural program by Dreams Dance
Academy.
This was followed by Keynote address
by Jc Sen Ramesh Batavia, PNP

in the serene open space of GKVK campus
Afternoon session had many cultural
programs from various chapters and Awards and Recognitions to chapters for
excellent JCRT, JJC and JC programs were given away for Zone officers.

respective Zone Directors, and JCRT, JJC chairpersons.
We were very delighted to received the Best LOM award from Jc Kiran
Ponnappa, ZVP
We would like to convey our sincere thanks to all our chapter members for their smart
work, volunteers of Chamundi Guild, all the JCI members of Zone 14 who came
from near and far to show your participation,
ZGB officers for their guidance and support, GKVK
management for their support throughout day and earlier, JCI national
leaders Jc Ramanathan L and Jc Sen Ramesh Batavia for their motivation. With all your support it was a success for
the JCI movement.
