JCI Bangalore Horizon  conducted its very first Empowering  youth program at Sai Shankar Vidyashala.   We were not very sure how these topics will be  received from the students since such topics are not part of their  curriculum.   We  were  very surprised that the students were  very eager to participate in discussions and to learn  all these skills too.   We  will be glad to roll out many such  programs in the  future.

JCI NLTS - 2013

Program:  JCI National Level Talent Search Exam - 2013
Date : 30 July 2013
Place :   Bangalore North
Host: JCI Bangalore Horizon

JCI  has  lots of  very valuable programs for the  Jaycee and Non- Jaycee  student community.   JCI  Bangalore  Horizon organised the   JCI NLTS  exams for the students of Sai Shankar Vidyashala,   Sriranmanahalli,   P. K. B. High School, Marasandra,  P. K. B. P U College , Marasandra.   Students from these rural education institutions  enthusiastically participated.

The nature of  questions were very  vast and it  kindled the interests in  students to realise  that studies and knowledge are not  just for passing exams and  the general knowledge is the very basic foundation of  our growth.

We  received  questions  papers,  OMR answer sheets and a certificate of participation for every student from NHQ.  All these cost Rs 5 per participant.  The fee is subsidised by  JCI as part of its social initiative to reach out to the society

The single page answer sheet in OMR format(Optical Mark Recognition)  will ease JCI to automatically scan and evaluate the answers.  Another important aspect is that the students get exposed to the use of OMR sheet which is mostly used during various entrance  examinations.

We  would like thank Zone Ex. Officer Jc Simon P  who  helped us with the NHQ  co-ordination.   The  support from JCI and the enthusiasm shown by the educational institutions has made us to resolve to  roll this out to even larger  crowd  in the next year.
